Staying in the city? Each week we’ll bring you five ideas for getting the most out of your summer in London. Last week it was laugh, swim and drink (not simultaneously); this week it’s eat, play and learn (oh, okay, and a bit more drink).
1. Tuck in
Eat al fresco at Little Feast in Shepherds Bush Market (see our review), through the 16th of August.
2. Inspire your little Hitchcock, Einstein, or drama queen
We know the long stretch of holidays can be difficult to keep the kids entertained, so check out our great list of holiday clubs and camps around London.
3. Appreciate the evolution of the playground
Until the 16th of August, the Royal Institute of British Architects’ re-creation of kids’ recreation in post-war Britain, Brutalist Playground, is on display in Marylebone.
4. Get crafty
From painting to clay to cooking—Kite Studios has something for all creative types. Get an inside peek at the studios with our video.
5. Hoist a few
Saturday the 1st of August is the last day of the Brook Green Craft Beer Fest (check out our write-up), featuring Moncada Brewery. There’s a playground that the kids can enjoy while you enjoy a nice cold one, plus there’s the farmers’ market and, off to the side, a ping pong table.
