Kiddikicks

by Anna Scott

Over the next few days we’ll be featuring camps and courses for your kids in London this summer. We kicked things off last week with a roundup of arts and crafts classes running throughout the holidays. Today, for your budding Phelps or Ennis, we bring you sport camps and courses. This summer could well be the ideal time for your sports-mad offspring to burn off some of that excess energy. Folk live and breathe football here in west London, but there are other options too:

Brentford Football Club Summer Soccer School, Chiswick and Isleworth

Brentford Football Club will be running courses at Chiswick School and GOALS Soccer Centre in Isleworth this summer. Suitable for kids aged 5 to 12 of all abilities.

QPRCamps

Send your little tadpole on a weeklong crash course. These four- or five-day short courses are a great way to boost progress, improve technique or just a fun activity in the long holidays.

Premiership Rugby Academy Camps, various locations

This helpful site lists a number of rugby summer camps run by various premiership clubs for a plethora of ages. Locations include Acton (London Wasps), Hendon (Saracens) and Sunbury on Thames (London Irish).

The Little Gym, Westfield, White City

Camps at the Little Gym offer two or three hours of fun and activities, combining physical fitness and play. At the three-hour camps children have an opportunity to show off their creative side with themed arts and crafts.

Kiddikicks, Hyde Park and Paddington

These August football classes run daily for one hour for under 5s (18 months to 5 years) and two hours for ages 5 to 8, in Hyde Park and Paddington Recreation Ground.
