Family fun in London this October half term is a cornucopia of autumnal delights.

We’ve got 6 great activities to do with kids in London this half term right here, jump in and enjoy together…

The Golden Hinde – Gory Stories Tour

Expert storytellers, dressed in period attire, will be onboard The Golden Hinde to peel back the pages of history and reveal the darkest and most spine-chilling tales ever told.

Gory Stories is a family friendly tour that explores chilling tales of the past, leaving you both fascinated and horrified.

When: 23, 25, 26, 27, 28 October; 11am

Hyde Park Learning Centre: Halloween Discovery Days

There are loads of free spooky activities for kids in Hyde Park this half term. Investigate ‘feely boxes’ in the Witches’ Den, explore a hair-raising nature trail, learn about the bats in The Royal Parks and listen to a spooky story. Dressing up is encouraged!

When: Drop in from 24 – 26 October any time between 11am – 3.30pm

Pick-Your-Own Farms: Pumpkin Fun for Families

There are so many lovely pick-your-own farms near London, and while the fruit and veg may be gone in October many of these farms have a huge selection of pumpkins to pick, amazing autumnal displays (photo opps galore), tasty food in the cafe and farm shop and some have play areas, nature trails and mazes.

Arts Depot: Tales from Acorn Wood

An ideal autumn show! Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler’s adorable  Tales from Acorn Wood stories are brought to life on stage for the first time in a lift-the-flap experience.

Packed full of  fun songs, puppetry, and all the friends from Acorn Wood, this show is by the team that also brought Dear Zoo Live and Dear Santa to stage.

Regents Park: Frieze Sculpture Trail

This outdoor art exhibition brings together a wide array of inspiring artists from around the world. Scamper around gorgeous Regents Park gawking at 21 works of art on display. This is a bit hit with kids who love to see the variety of huge, creative sculpture out in nature. Pair with a trip to one of this park’s excellent playgrounds or a trip to London Zoo.

London Farms: Half Term Events Galore

Autumn is an excellent time to visit one of London’s many activity farms. A taste of the countryside without leaving the city! These farms are free to enter (but rely on donations so do help out if you can), most have amazing cafes and will have a selection of activities for kids happening over half term.
