You nominated dozens of mum bloggers in our search for London’s Best Mummy Blogger—women who inspire you, or at least inspire giggles, as they share the good, the bad and the poopy. We asked the mums to tell us a bit about themselves and their blogs. Last week we featured the first five nominees here. Now meet the next group:
Jenny Raymond, Mamazou
I decided to set up Mamazou for two reasons. Firstly, I was inspired by the emerging crowd of mums and dads rejecting ‘one size fits all’ parenting, and secondly, I had some pretty terrifying experiences on other parenting forums that left me feeling isolated and judged. We don’t do any of that on Mamazou. Instead, Mamazou celebrates all parents as we navigate this crazy journey we call parenthood in the best way we know how. We are about offering advice without the side helping of judgement. Mamazou is a safe social space born from the rise of the sisterhood, the motherhood, the parenthood and I blog about it as I go along.
Sara Bussandri, Mind Your Mamma
Hi, I’m Sara. I’m Italian but have lived in London since 2003. After 11 years working as a business analyst, I gave into my passion for writing, and I now work from home as a freelance writer around the busy schedules of my three boys. Inspired by my own story and the need for a more ‘balanced life’, I blog at Mind your Mamma about change, self-care and finding time to do what you love.
Jennie Harmsworth, Feed in Style
I’m Jennie, a first-time mum to my one-year-old daughter, Lennie, with another one due in September! I started @feedinstyle after breastfeeding for seven months and wearing the same breastfeeding-friendly outfits on repeat! I’m no fashion expert—I just wanted to recover my sense of style and help other breastfeeding mums do the same.
Laura Rutherford, By Laura
West London mama, wife, sister, daughter and friend writing about all things I LOVE… raising two boys in the city, learning more about them and myself each and every day. I have a blog about all things creative, style and family. I love life, laughter and creating memories…all with a dash of lippy to distract from the tired eyes. Don’t be fooled by the smile; it hides a multitude of emotions but similarly reflects the strength I find within to crack on with this parenting shit 😉
Sarah, Mumzilla
A 30-something London mum, child and puppy wrangler, part-time working disaster and general klutz. Terrible wife. Blogging to keep sane through the early mothering years—six years in, not too grey yet. Looking for the funny in every day—you have to laugh, because if you don’t you’ll drink too much wine and social services might have something to say about that.
