Nutrition in Culinary Practice (£3085)

Dates throughout the year

Our popular Nutrition in Culinary Practice course offers you the chance to gain a professional qualification in nutritious food, in a format that is easily combined with childcare commitments.

Each session involves a trained nutritionist offering a comprehensive understanding of the nutritional make-up and effects of various foods, presented in easy-to-follow sections with informative discussions.

You’ll cover portion control, food allergies, long-term menu-planning for dietary needs, the importance of blood sugar regulation in weight management and the food trends of the future.

You will then put this knowledge into practice!

Working in one of the Leiths professional kitchens, you’ll experiment with ingredients such as spirulina and seaweed spaghetti, techniques such as fermenting and sprouting, and equiment such as the Thermomix, dehydrator, and sous-vide.

As ever at Leiths, the food will be full of flavour and a pleasure to eat.

Run in partnership with the Pure Package and certified by the Nutritional Therapy Education Commission, this course is ideal for trained chefs, private chefs, personal trainers, nannies and carers, as well as confident home cooks who want to be able to cook nutritionally balanced dishes for themselves or their families.
