“There are quite a few adventure play grounds in Hackney. Evergreen, King Henry’s walk, and of course our favourite: The Curve Garden, it’s not a playground but a safe space for children to play and climb…. the real bonus is the bar. Paddling pool at London friends with two brilliant playgrounds. Also the Victoria park water park and 2 huge playgrounds. The paddling pool and playground at @heath_hampstead_society are also good and Waterloo has the fountains and the playground by the London eye!”

“We do love the new one at Kew, but one we recently discovered is at Gunnersbury Park Museum. There is something for all ages and you mostly have a clear line of sight for the whole playground, which is good, if you’re there with more than one child! And the café does amazing pizza and ice-cream.”

“Pitshanger Park and Walpole Park – Ealing faves. Ravenscourt Park – Hammersmith Fave. Paddington Rec is fab over Queens park/Maida Vale and Queens Park is lovely and has swimming and a large sand pit plus a tiny ‘zoo’ with rabbits goats chickens etc! Any park with ducks to feed and area for kids to paddle and picnic plus a play area is a plus from us!

“Grow Wild in Lloyd Park is my kids’ absolute favourite (adventure playground with under 5s sessions on Tuesdays, Fridays and some Saturdays). We also like Tumbling Bay, Victoria Park (both of them), Finsbury Park (added bonus of the footbridge over the east coast mainline so being able to wave at the trains for hours!), Lordship Rec for the whole park, not just the playground, including fabulous mini road system and BMX track for riding bikes round and paddling pool. And Highgate Woods!”
