The votes are in for WLM’s Top London Portrait Photographer Competition, and over the next few weeks we’ll be introducing you to the 12 nominees. We begin with our first three finalists, who tell us a bit about themselves and their photography styles:
Kylie Fisk
I specialise in family, children and newborn shoots; however I also capture weddings and other events. I prefer the softness of natural-light photography and I try to keep my shoots relaxed and fun. Being a mum myself, I can relate to and interact with children and babies with understanding and care.
I don’t use a studio—I am mobile and prepared to travel far and wide, being also an avid traveller. My first wedding shoot I was flown to Fiji (perks of the job!) but got caught in a cyclone and stranded for over a week…a little more than I expected!
It’s the unexpected fun and personalities I meet that make me love what I do—and seeing the client so happy with the results.
Katia Muscara
I am very passionate about capturing newborns, children and families. Two words define my photography: LIGHT and EMOTION.
I am a natural-light photographer and wherever you choose to have a photo session with me, on location or in my natural-light studio, I will manage to capture you naturally. I am able to put people at ease and to allow beautiful emotions to show in my photography.
For the last four years, I have been teaching Photography for Parents, sharing my passion for capturing children with hundreds of parents.
Eddie Judd
Specialising in family, portrait and wedding photography, I adore people and delight in documenting the special moments in their lives. I strive to create images that give my clients an instant hit of pride, love and joy.
As a mum of two girls, I’m particularly passionate about family photography. Photographs not only capture specific events, they embellish the precious memories our children take with them into adulthood. They become a valuable gift that can be passed from one generation to the next, hopefully prompting that instant hit of pride, love and joy over and over again.
