LONDON RESTAURANT FESTIVAL
Now in its sixth year, the London Restaurant festival is the must-do event for any foodie. Running until October 27th, the best of London’s restaurant scene will come together to showcase their offerings—from intimate dinners with some of the city’s top chefs to culinary tours. This is a great chance to eat at Michelin-starred restaurants for a fraction of the normal price with the festival menus on offer.
Some event highlights this year include the Cicchetti Trail (£58) which takes you to six of the best Italian restaurants for ‘cicchetti’ —Italy’s version of tapas. Participating restaurants include Mele e Pere, The House of Peroni, La Polenteria, Caffé Caldesi, Snowflake Gelato and Augustus Harris. If a taste of the Orient is more your flavour, enjoy the samplings on the Japanese Journey (£60), featuring Tonkotsu, Shoryu Soho, Kurobuta, Sticks ’n’ Sushi, Kanada-Ya and Chisou.
In addition, there are workshops with chefs, an Eat Film evening and a host of side order events to choose from. Browse through the extensive list of participating restaurants with menus ranging from under £10 to £40 across the city. Restaurants in west London include:
• Ping Pong, Westbourne Grove
• Pictures at Dorsett Hotel, Shepherd’s Bush
• Thai Square Putney Bridge, Putney
• La Mancha, Chiswick
