The Book People and The Motherhood invites you to an engaging panel event on kids’ feelings, getting them talking and how reading can help. Join guest panellists Hollie De Cruz AKA The Yes Mum; Louise Treherne, Head of Character Education at creative childcare and life skills courses Role Models; and Clinical Psychologist, Dr. Sonya Khan, for an evening of fun and conversation with The Book People.
Findings from recent The Book People research revealed 40% of parents believe their children feel stressed on a regular basis. The Motherhood’s panellists will be sharing their experiences, expert insights and valuable advice to encourage youngsters to open up and talk about their emotions. They’ll also share their wisdom on why creative outlets like writing and storytelling are a fundamental way for children to express how they are feeling and get them communicating more openly.
Enjoy an evening off, sip a glass of prosecco, tuck into delicious canapes and spend time with some inspirational parents. Space is limited so book your place now!
The Book People’s annual Bedtime Story competition is currently open, and this year’s theme is ‘feelings’. Young creative writers all over the UK are invited to let their imagination run wild and put their thoughts to paper, as they could be in with the chance of having their story brought to life in their very own book. The competition closes on 8th November 2019. Aspiring young writers can enter at www.thebookpeople.co.uk/bedtimestory
