We’ve got Kath Sloggett from Runneth London, who will walk us through her tried and tested tips on where to look for a job and how to make your CV stand out. She’ll guide us through the minefield of employment options as well as how to find a family-friendly job.
Super stylish Tessa Frost from Fig & Frost will show what the key essentials every work wardrobe needs, how to dress for your shape, be courageous with colour and how the right accessory can transform an outfit. Best of all, she will showcase items can easily transition from day to evening.
ABOUT KATH, RUNNETH LONDON
Kath Sloggett is an entrepreneur, career coach and start-up adviser. She began her career in large organisations—including PwC, Coca-Cola and BT—before branching out into smaller businesses and becoming the CEO at Everyman Cinemas. Using this wealth of experience and a personal interest in helping others, she began coaching professionals and entrepreneurs over 10 years ago.
She has also launched her own businesses, including Runneth, where she has a special affinity for empowering people to ‘step up’ in their careers—be it asking for a pay rise or promotion, returning to work following a career break, starting a business or changing careers to better suit family life. Kath is also a working mother of two, and can speak from personal experience on managing parenthood and career.
ABOUT TESSA, FIG & FROST
Tessa has a lifelong passion for the visual arts, working for a number of years at Tate Britain, Tate Modern and the V&A. During this period, she was fortunate to be exposed to a range of creative media, while collaborating with a number of artistic and inspiring people. As her career evolved, so too has her appreciation of style, contemporary arts, design and fashion. She decided to pursue this interest full time, qualifying with Distinction as a Personal Stylist from the London College of Style, the UK’s leading styling school.
A mother of two young children, Tessa fully understands the need to look effortlessly elegant day and night. She derives huge pleasure from working with her clients to help them achieve their own unique style. Her attentive manner, listening skills and sensitive nature put people at ease. She has years of experience in advising how best to combine high street and high end, old and new pieces to create classic looks, with an edge.
PLEASE NOTE: To get the most out of the event it would be great if you could arrange childcare for any little ones, but we are also parents and understand that this is not always possible, so rather than miss out, please know that babies and toddlers can attend with you if you’re unable to get cover. Please note however, the event will be on the first floor and there is no lift, so buggies will need to be carried upstairs.
