For all those spending their summer in London: fear not, it’s going to be a good and stylish one. Especially with events like these taking place next month.
Summer in the Square
A beautiful Mayfair square will be transformed into an open-air cultural festival, with musical and theatrical performances, fun games, gourmet food and comfy deckchairs. With free entrance for everyone!
It’s the third edition of the highly popular Summer in the Square, taking place in Grosvenor Square from the 3rd to the 20th of July 2014.
The square will be divided into four different zones: the performance stage, the games area, a food hub and a quiet area to relax.
On the programme: theatre, ballet, stand-up comedy, storytelling and music from jazz, classical and folk groups. On the food front, some of Mayfair’s finest gastronomic options will be there with “foodie pop-ups” while the Luggage Room, a glamorous cocktail bar, will be serving delicious cocktails.
The most perfect way to spend a warm summer’s day in the city with all the family.
Grosvenor Film Festival
And what about couples looking to spend a romantic evening under London’s starry sky? Does watching Casablanca at an open-air cinema while munching on a gourmet picnic sound good?
I have good news for you, because Grosvenor Film Festival has teamed up with Nomad Cinema to launch open-air screenings of classic films in London. The festival has also joined forces with Mayfair’s and Belgravia’s top restaurants to offer bespoke hampers and other foodie options to enjoy your evening (a bit pricey, but perfect for a special date night).
After all that, there’s only one thing to say: “Please, Summer, hurry up!”
