With Father’s Day right around the corner we’re loving Men Behaving Dadly – a playgroup in Chiswick just for dads. Sessions take place on Saturdays at the Chiswick Children’s Centre from 1:30-3:30pm and best of all it’s free! The events are exclusively for men and children up to the age of 7 and feature a wide range of fun activities for dads and kids to do together such as: crafts, food tasting, sports, walks and more. It’s a great way for dads to bond with their children and meet other Dads in an otherwise female dominated environment.
Men Behaving Dadly is an initiative orchestrated by a local dad Jay Blades who is also the co-founder of Street Dreams, a charity that acts as a family to disadvantaged youth. The charity goes into communities and schools working one-on-one with youth through life coaching, training and youth clubs and after school activities. Anti-social behaviour rates have dropped dramatically in schools where Street Dreams run programs. The charity has won many awards over the last few years including charity of the year from John Lewis. Street Dreams, Sure Start Children’s Centres and the London Borough of Hounslow make the Men Behaving Dadly group possible.
