Local Spotlight: Nosh Detox

Local mum Geeta Sidhu Robb an ex-corporate lawyer started Nosh Detox to help combat her son’s multiple allergies.  Her rigorous efforts led her to learn about the benefits of alternative therapies, supplements and a eating balanced diet.  As a result she completely cured his eczema as well as reduced his asthma.  Her first hand experience inspired her to qualify as healer and Medical Intuitive and start Nosh Detox, knowing first hand the outcome that following the regime can have.

With a steady flow of awards every year, Nosh Detox has grown significantly since it’s start in 2008.   The programs can be catered to achieve your specific goals and are delivered straight to your door.  Easy peasy.

WLM recently caught up with Geeta:

What inspired you to start Nosh Detox?
I started nosh originally because my son was ill with food allergies and anaphylaxis and I really needed a way for the whole family to work together as a unit.  I didn’t want him to feel left out and ‘different’.  So I made the whole house comply with his allergies ie. We went dairy, gluten, fish egg and nut free.  It was really tough but worth it.  So I then collected a bunch of recipes and wrote my first cookbook ‘Food for All’ which sold really well on amazon.

What challenges have you faced?
Well, where do I start?  I couldn’t get any bank funding other than a £2,000 personal overdraft.  I didn’t understand how to do any business accounting or marketing. I didn’t understand what PR meant/did.  All I had was an idea.

What are some of the most important things to remember when doing a detox?
Drink loads of water, gentle exercise, clear space in your life and understand it’s good for you.

What makes Nosh Detox different from others?
We were the first juice company to set up in the UK. We invented ‘total juicing’ where we blend the fruit and add in superfoods. That way we keep in the pulp of the fruit and make it more available for the body to break down fructose over the day.

What conditions can a detox help with?
Everything.  There is literally nothing that can’t be helped with a detox. We have worked successfully on chronic fatigue, infertility, psoriasis, eczema; my mother’s swollen knees and joints. Dealing with weight loss and increasing energy is pretty standard and easy.

What do you think should be included in every diet? What is your personal ‘superfood’?
Chia seeds, probiotics, flaxseed and Nosh vitamins are what I take each and every day.

What is your favourite kids shop in west London?
Hamleys for toys.  Gap, H&M and Monsoon for clothes; Ikea for furniture.

What is YOUR favourite shop in west London?
I love Zara for clothes, antique shops for furniture, Hari’s for hair.

Where do you and your family hangout?
We love Riccardos on Fulham Road to eat.  We go swimming every week, hang out in Hyde Park and go cycling in Richmond park.  We also hang out at home a lot.
