30th November & 1st December, 14th & 15th December
Fun for the whole family, our hugely popular Christmas weekends will have a range of activities for everyone to enjoy. Hop aboard a husky sleigh ride, help the elves make special gifts for Christmas and go wild in our indoor and outdoor play areas. Set on an award-winning nature reserve, enjoy festive fun with a difference.
Adorable huskies will be here to meet you and give children a magical sleigh ride through beautiful wetland scenery. After your ride you can pet and have photos with these lovely dogs. Afterwards, stop into our craft workshop to help Santa’s elves. The team are running a little behind schedule this year and need some help making gifts and decorations. Join their workshop to make special Christmas crafts to take home.
A new addition to our festive weekends this year will be a face painting stand. Kids will love the chance to be transformed into a Christmas character or wetland creature. Choose from a range of designs to make your little one’s day extra special.
Need a time out from all the fast-paced festive fun? Sit back and relax in the H2O building where we’ll be screening clips and short films all day showcasing some of the great conservation work WWT is involved in. Be inspired by the efforts of our dedicated scientists working to save some of the world’s rarest species including the tiny Spoon-billed Sandpiper and the Madagascan Pochard.
Warm up in the café with a hot drink or meal, or maybe even a mince pie. Our friendly team will be serving festive treats all day.
Round off the fun with a browse in the shop for beautiful Christmas gifts and souvenirs. We’ve got a fantastic range of Christmas decorations, books, toys, homeware, cards and lots more. The money you spend in our shop and café helps us support our conservation work both locally and around the world.
Don’t forget, all the centre’s usual fun and facilities will still be open. See the adorable otters and ducks, go wild in our indoor and outdoor play areas and test your balance and bravery on the Wild Walk, our outdoor obstacle course.
