On Churchfield Road in Acton you’ll find a fantastic hair and beauty salon called Pro Hands. A family-run business staffed by a mum and her three daughters, Pro Hands was started by daughter Ellie. Whilst at university, the determined and ambitious Ellie decided that she wanted to run her own business. Sonya, Ellie’s mother, is a trained hairdresser and beauty therapist who had built up a long and loyal list of clientele. Ellie saw this as a great opportunity to join forces with her mother, and together they opened Pro Hands in 2003.
The Pro Hands philosophy is based on the belief that looking after one’s body is good for the mind, and ultimately makes a happier individual. They have created a haven where every treatment makes a difference to the way the client feels: A manicure isn’t just that, it’s a way to feel nurtured, enabling the recipient to nurture others better. Pro Hands encourages mothers to take a break from being supermum and make time to invest in you.
The ladies at Pro Hands—which includes sisters Elham and Noosh— have created a warm family atmosphere. Inspiring quotes decorate walls of the salon, and it is always busy with happy customers. Pro Hands do a number of different treatments that are perfect for busy mums who never have time to treat themselves.
Ellie and Elham have created a treatment called “Avatar”—also known as “The Journey”—75 minutes of relaxation for £70: a Murad facial of your choice, beginning with EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) to induce a relaxed state of mind and body, combined with head-to-toe holistic massage given by our two talented therapists simultaneously. Targeting both body and mind, this is the ultimate in restorative well-being.
