Both mums of two boys each, founders of Ealing Mums in Business Erin Thomas-Wong and Shelley Henderson have still found time to create the very popular Northfields Night Markets, bringing the community and local businesses together for a fun evening. Here they tell WLM readers about the next market, coming up on Saturday the 27th of June at Kingsdown Methodist Church Hall.
At Ealing Mums in Business we have been so thrilled with the community and business response to our night markets that we are about to hold our 6th event since we started them in 2013. Each time we manage to bring something fresh with a great combination of regular and new businesses. Featuring everything from tempting foods and irresistible gifts to services from local experts and even entertainment, the market brings the best of Ealing together under one roof (and we mean that literally—no worries about the rain!).
We love putting on these events as they really help the Ealing community realise what amazing businesses they have on their doorstep. It also gives small businesses a platform to engage and show off their fantastic products and services. We always make sure there is a wide variety and not too many businesses offering similar products, and feedback has been great from attendees.
On the 27th of June we’ll have live music from a local jazz band and Love2sing choir, a variety of food from Ealing Park Tavern, Caribbean wraps, cakes, artisan bread, homemade chutneys as well as a whole array of small businesses—42 in total.
We hope to see you on Saturday!
Entry is free to the Northfields Night Market, which runs on Saturday 27 June from 6:30 to 9pm at Kingsdown Methodist Church Hall, Kingsdown Avenue (on the corner of Northfield Avenue), W13 9PR. For more information, visit the Ealing Mums in Business website.
