Mulled wine, fireworks, a toasty bonfire on a chilly night, and, of course, the ubiquitous fun fair—Guy Fawkes Night is genuinely fun for the whole family. Because the 5th falls on a Thursday this year, many celebrations are being held on the following weekend—most on the 7th or 8th. Here’s a roundup of your local Bonfire Night extravaganzas:
HAMMERSMITH
Where: Ravenscourt Park

The Ravenscourt Park display is great for those with little ones, with a children’s fireworks show at 7:15pm. The main display is choreographed to music and starts at 8:10pm, and the evening features food and a funfair as well. Save a few quid by buying tickets advance for £6 each.
FULHAM

This is much the same setup as the Ravenscourt Park event, with a funfair, children’s fireworks display at 7:15pm and advance tickets for £6.
CHISWICK
Where: St Paul’s Church and Gardens, Grove Park

St Paul’s Church hosts their annual fireworks party on Sunday night, the 8th of November. Food and soft drinks are included in the ticket price, and there’s a cash bar in the garden. Advance tickets are £10 for adults, £5 for children, or £30 for a family.
Where: Dukes Meadows

One of the few fireworks shows being held on the actual day, the Dukes Meadows event includes live music, a hog roast and BBQ plus other hot food and drink. Buying in advance costs £6 per adult, £3 child and £12 family.

In addition to the fireworks, food, and live music at this free annual event, 100 souls with hardy soles will have the chance to walk on fire for charity. This Guy Fawkes celebration takes place early—on the 4th of November—with the oohs and aahs (and maybe ouches) starting at 7pm.
EALING

RICHMOND

This year’s theme is ‘A Night at the Musicals’, featuring favourite West End songs. Live entertainment, competitions, stalls and funfair rides are all on offer at Richmond’s big display, with the fireworks going off at 7pm. Advance tickets are £8 adults, £5 children, £24 family, and grandstand tickets—which can only be bought in advance—cost £12 regardless of age. Parking is also available for £5.
BARNES
Where: Barnes Sports Club

The Barnes Bonfire Night features a Best Guy competition, plus food, drinks and a live DJ ‘till late’. The bonfire is set alight at 7pm, and the main display starts at 7:45pm. Advance tickets from local shops (see website above) cost £10, £5 (still), and £25.
BATTERSEA

This year’s theme is ‘A Royal Night Out’, and includes mulled wine as well as a range of street food (as favoured by the queen?). The explosions are set to music and start at 8pm. Note that tickets can only be purchased before the event, and even though kids under 10 go free, they still need a ticket.
WIMBLEDON
Where: Wimbledon Park

The night is divided into two performances: a kid-friendly, Disney-themed 6:30pm bonfire and 6:45 display, followed by an 8:15pm bonfire and 8:30 fireworks with ‘music through the decades’. Also on offer are a funfair, refreshments and stalls. Advance tickets are somewhat oddly priced at £8.80 adults and £6.60 kids, or £27.50 family.
MORDEN
Where: Morden Park

Morden Park’s fireworks night is the same as Wimbledon’s, only two days later. The natural bowl-shaped setting adds to the appeal of this location.
KINGSTON-UPON-THAMES
