Event: Back to Work

BacktoWorkEventWhether you’ve been off for one or a few years, going back to work after having a child can be a daunting experience. Finding the work/life balance requires constant juggling, and we hope to make it a little easier with our next event.

On Thursday 18th September, WLM teams up with London Mothers’ Club to bring you an expert session all about going back to work. From talks with career coach Kate Mansfield and meal planning with Sian’s Plan to looking fab with stylist Joanne Hegarty—we will have you going back to work looking and feeling great!

About the talks

Kate Mansfield will talk about the “supermum” myth and the guilt many mothers face when returning to work, as well as how we can have children and still be ambitious.

Joanne Hegarty from Inspired Personal Styling will show how to find your perfect work wardrobe without breaking the bank, focusing on beautiful work looks, how to accessorise and breathe life into work wear, and the clothes essentials for the upcoming season. Perfect for the time-strapped morning rush.

Meal-planning guru Sian Breslin from Sian’s Plan will provide great tips on how to eat healthy during the busy week, how to use leftovers and, most important, how to cook for the whole family at once—no more separate suppers!

Have you been away from work for some time? A returnship might be the perfect way to ease back in — perhaps even into a different field. We have Julianne Miles and Katerina Gould from Women Returners. Julianne is a chartered Psychologist and co-founder of Women Returners, the UK experts in the area of supporting women professionals to return to work after an extended career break. She has been working with women returners for many years: coaching individuals, running workshops and speaking at events.

Katerina is an executive coach and co-founder of Women Returners.  She has been supporting individuals through leadership transitions since 2005.  Additionally, for women, she facilitates workshops and presents at events as well as being a mentor for Women on Boards.  Katerina’s professional background includes corporate management, entrepreneurship and a first class business education at Cambridge and Harvard.

Lastly, if you’re thinking of starting a business we have the School for StartUps attending, who provide guidance for turning your dream into a reality.
