2012 delivered a very busy summer for Tiffany. She was ITV Daybreak’s national Olympic Correspondent and the face of the European Championships – dragging herself away from her young family to cover, of all things, the football for four weeks. Tiffany has been broadcasting for a decade now and has traveled all over the world, from Beijing for the 2008 Olympic games, to Milan and LA to chase the Beckhams and to Thailand tailing Gary Glitter.
Whilst Tiffany can turn her hand to anything, she is above all else a devoted mum and has recently focused on some important family issues from debating whether it’s right to smack a child to the cost of childcare. Tiffany and her family live in Shepherds Bush.
Where are you right now?
Sitting at my kitchen table in Shepherds Bush trying desperately to keep my eyes open after another silly nightshift at work.
What do you do for ‘me-time’?
I run when I can, if I’m feeling really brave I’ll head to the river and try and get from Hammersmith Bridge to Putney and home to the Bush (that doesn’t happen very often though and then I’m on my knees!).
Where is your favourite place to eat in West London?
La Trompette in Chiswick has very special memories for me. We’ve just had my husband’s birthday there and the food is always amazing. They were ace with our kids as well which took me by surprise for such a smart place.
Career and children – top tip on how do you do it?
I try and be super organized but if one ball dropped I dread to think what would happen. Help is also essential I really rely on great childcare and my lovely mum! Doing bonkers breakfast telly hours and often being sent away at the drop of a hat I have to have someone looking after the kids who is totally reliable and up for a bit of chaos.
If you had to make a quick escape where would you go?
Oooh somewhere hot with lots of white sand and big fluffy bathrobes!
What is on your bedside table?
Honestly? A pink Hello Kitty hairband that belongs to my three year old, a half eaten chocolate coin courtesy of my nineteen month old and a huge pot of Kiehl’s face cream – I’m ever hopeful something will work magic!
Three things you’d take with you to a desert island?
My babies, endless episodes of Corrie (sad but true!) and baked beans – my strange guilty pleasure!
Who would you most like to meet for a drink?
Bradley Wiggins – I covered the Olympics and he was one of the only gold medalists I didn’t meet. I’m obsessed.
What is your greatest extravagance?
Wine and Whistles! Sadly.
What is your favourite thing to do as a family?
I love the holidays we have. Last year post a crazy summer of work we went to Majorca on our own for five days before hooking up with pals. It was super chilled, proper quality time that has definitely got me through the grey working days in London!
