7 Local Christmas Events for Parents and Kids

With December just around the corner, now is the time to get excited about Christmas!

Let the good tidings roll with this lovely mix of school and community events for kids and parents, all proudly sponsored by our community partners, Marsh & Parsons.

You might see them serving mulled wine, handing out mince pies, manning Santa’s grotto or just generally lending a helping hand, so do say hello!

Eleanor Palmer Primary School Christmas Fair is full to the brim with wintery fun!

Browse the festive stalls offering a variety of gift ideas, take part in the raffle and the chocolate tombola and visit Santa’s grotto, before warming up with a cup of mulled wine and a mince pie.

The Good Shepherd Primary School

The top raffle prize is impressive too: lunch at The Dorchester with an exclusive kitchen tour, donated by Marsh & Parsons. Other prizes include a £120 Lamberts voucher, holiday camp and sports club vouchers and many other generous prices, also kindly donated by local businesses.

John BettsWhere: Ravenscourt Park

John Betts Primary School Christmas Fair has enough going on to get even self-proclaimed Scrooges feeling Christmassy! Enjoy complimentary mulled wine and mince pies as you and the kids visit Santa’s Grotto, craft stalls and face painters before joining in with the carol singers.

Feeling lucky? Take part in their Christmas raffle for a chance to win an Amazon Fire HD Tablet with Alexa, or tickets to performances at the Royal Opera House.

The Barnes Christmas Festival is a festive-filled day for all! Hosted by the Barnes Community Association, the event begins at 11am at The Sun Inn, where attendees can shop for Christmas gifts before being serenaded by carol singers from St Osmund’s School at lunchtime (with a second performance at 5pm). The OSO Arts Centre also hosts a magical Christmas Market, teeming with fabulous Christmas gift ideas.

Along with other local businesses, Marsh & Parsons will be keeping their doors open later, warming up passing shoppers with mulled wine and mince pies, so pop in for your mid-shop pick-me-up!
